Andrew Haslen was born in 1953. He works as a painter and printer of wildlife producing watercolors, sculptures, oils, and linocuts. He was elected a member of the Society of Wildlife Artists in 1988.

-Winner of the R.S.N.C. Natural World Art Award 1992 & 1997, winner of the R.S.P.B. Art Award 1996 & 1999.

-Selected 7 times to exhibit at Birds in Art exhibition, Leigh Yawkey Art Museum, Wisconsin, USA; 1993, 1995-6, 2012, 2014, 2017, 2020.
-Birdwatch Artist of the Year 2018 – Sponsored by Swarovski and awarded at the Society of Wildlife Artists annual exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London.
